About Pennsylvania Written Test
Before driving a car on a public road in Pennsylvania, you must have a learner’s permit. To obtain your driver’s license, you must take and pass the vision, knowledge, and road tests. The written Pennsylvania DMV exam includes questions on safe driving techniques, traffic laws, road signs. And markings, and information from the Pennsylvania Driver’s Manual. There are 18 questions on the PA DMV written exam. And you must get at least 15 of them right to pass (83%). You will be given a learner’s permit that is good for a year after passing the DMV knowledge test.
